General Situation Report Instructions:
The purpose of the Situation Report is to provide accurate information to keep all list members updated about emergency or disaster situations in your Area of Operation. It is used as an early warning system to alert members about developments in your AO.

GENERAL GUIDLINES:
1. Situation Reports are NOT for general discussion, unconfirmed rumors or bullshit. Report the following to the group: Natural or manmade disasters, civil unrest, the militarization of state/local police, violations of the Posse Comitatus Act, military activities in civilian areas, FEMA activities, FBI/BATF actions in local jurisdictions, LEO/military roadblocks/checkpoints, declarations of martial law, weapons confiscations, arrests etc.

2. Use the standardized Alert Levels. If you need to post additional information follow the SitRep or SALUTE format. To report sensitive information USE the appropriate day pad and authentication.

3. Do not post daily unless there is something important in your AO.

4. If you do not follow these guidelines, your post will be deleted immediately. Anyone found to have deliberately reported false information or unconfirmed rumors will be banned from this forum.

SitRep MESSAGE FORMAT:

A SitRep consists of three parts. Heading, Message and Signature

1. HEADING: The first line is the heading. If you are sending a SitRep by E-mail, or posting it to a message board such as AWRM.org, place the "heading' in the subject line to alert the recipiant that he is receiving an important message. The heading identifies you or your location, the date, time (24-hour mil spec) and time zone, and the precedence. The location is a two-letter abbreviation for your State i.e. TN, NC, TX etc. Next, the day, month and year; the time in mil. spec.; the time zone i.e. ET, CT PT etc. and the precedence/subject.

a. He held a secret meeting of the Executive Board to enact a “resolution” to defy the law, while saying that they were upholding the law.
I. This “resolution” has no authority without State Committee approval at a subsequent meeting.
II. The State Committee did not approve it.
III. It was not possible for voters, candidates, or the Secretary of State to rely on the “resolution” during the election process because it was kept secret.
b. He sent a letter to each County Auditor, quoting the non-authoritative “resolution” attempting to enlist their collusion to violate the law.
c. He led the Executive Board in a second resolution to illegally threaten County Central Committees to collude with him to exclude legally-elected Precinct Committee Officers.

IV. No function of the word “nominate” was present in this action. It did not tell anyone that a decision had been made or who had been decided upon.
V. The Secretary of State was not able to rely on the “nominations” in rule-making because they were secret.

Citizens: December 5, 2006

An assault was made on the Arkansas Militia, Nov. 8, 2006. The subject of the attack was Hollis Wayne Fincher, a gentle mountain man, and at the same time a gentleman, and a Constitutional scholar, most particularly the second amendment.

He was placed incommunicado in different jails and is the subject of abuse. He is 60 yrs old, in bad health, but is maintaining a terrific attitude.

The bond was set at $250,000 with any number of constraints. He was urged by a public defender to put up his 4th generation 120 acre farm on Black Oak Mountain, Fayetteville, Arkansas which has evolved into prime real estate and has political overtones. He refused to accept those terms, knowing full well that any number of the “constraints” could be unintentionally violated. He remains incarcerated.

We have now secured a young aggressive private attorney, battle tested in dealing with government abuse.

We anticipate the trial to begin January 8, 2007. We are commencing a campaign titled “Free Fincher”. It is our belief that this is a test case to wipe out organized militia, the last vestige of American Independence. The under girding federal documents, we believe are two documents Bush signed into law in the oval office on the night of Oct. 17, 2006. These 2 laws are: The Military Commissions Act” (dissolves writ of Habeas Corpus) & “The John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 (dissolves Posse Comitatus).

These 2 laws, coupled with the Patriot Acts, allow Bush to declare “martial law”. The first of the two also allows for torture and detention abroad. We are not talking foreign nationals here, we are talking American citizens.

I am utilizing this means asking for donations for Mr. Fincher for his (and our) fight to secure perhaps our most important constitutional right and to forward this email on to your own personal lists.

Please give us a hand in fighting this monster­the U.S. Federal Government.

Are questions still allowed?

Why was Wayne Fincher violently arrested and held incommunicado, compliments of BATF? A lifelong citizen of Fayetteville, affectionately known as “Gentle Giant”, a Constitutional expert and advocate, in poor health, age 60, an open militia organizer well known by the Governor, Attorney General, local, county & state police because he sent them all complete descriptions of the militia activities years ago, also explained on their website.

Article 1, Section 8 U.S. Constitution requires the presence of well organized militias.

The timing and motives are highly questionable. This arrest came just days after Bush signed The Military Commissions Act­eliminating Habeas Corpus, and The John Warner Act­destroying Posse Comitatus, allowing dissenters labeled enemy combatants.

It also came the same day as a vote was due in Washington county Quorum Court on an odious property ordinance based on United Nations/Agenda 21 which Fincher and many other citizens strongly opposed because of its destruction of property rights.

Coincidence? Not a chance.

How is it that 8 federal, state, county, bomb squad, and city police agencies have the time and money to investigate (8 months), raid, terrorize, and detain a law-abiding family with no criminal record, yet they don’t have the wherewithal to arrest, detain, and deport thousands of illegal aliens, all criminals, gangs, drug runners, human smugglers, etc.?

Can it be that law abiding citizens who advocate upholding the Constitution and rule of law are a danger to the huge corporations desiring illegal slave labor and/or the ability to seize land the owners don’t want to sell?

Just what are citizens to do when law enforcement no longer understands nor upholds Constitutional rights? Has this become a protection racket for corporate and politicrat elites?

The treatment of Wayne Fincher and the outcome of his trial will tell much.

The brutish BATF struck again November 8, 2006. This agency, under the leadership of Special Agent Wade Vittitow, dismantled an American patriot’s home and family.

The target for ambush was Hollis Wayne Fincher, an officer in the Washington County Militia. The militia was organized in 1994 and has strictly adhered to the Arkansas and U.S. Constitutions. March, 2006 The Morning News of NW Arkansas published an account of the militia. Former Washington County sheriff Kenneth McKee and current Sheriff Tim Helder blessed the militia in this article. It was noted in the article that the militia owned a homemade 1919 50 Cal. Machine gun, cobbled out of destroyed military weapons and secured at headquarters.

If the BATF had legitimate concerns about the militia, they only had to knock on the door and inform Mr. Fincher they had a problem, rather than storming his home and the militia headquarters. This attack by Vittitow was accompanied by seven other policing agencies, i.e. bomb squads, FBI, state & county law enforcement..

The attack was commissioned by a “fuzzy” federal program called “Project Safe Neighborhood”. The alleged goal of this program is to combat violent gun crime. Translation: silencing all militias by force.

The militia’s website describes their goals, each underpinned by our Constitutions. Mr. Fincher wrote an article titled “The Silver Bullet”. Agent Vittitow testified he had no comprehension of the Silver Bullet, perhaps showing a lack of constitutional understanding. Vittitow stated that Fincher had made numerous representations that the Federal Government was corrupt. Vittitow apparently does not understand the extent of corruption in the Federal Government. Vittitow complained that Fincher purposely lived in the boondocks which would endanger agents attacking Fincher’s home. Ah, the real agenda. Finchers have owned their homestead. for four generations.

Fourth-generation Fayetteville, Arkansan Wayne Fincher, 60, founded the Arkansas Constitutional Militia in 1994. The group has operated openly as a public service organization for educational purposes and to aid local governments in times of emergency. Now he is in jail for allegedly not paying a federal tax on a few guns though he appears to be in 100 percent compliance with the laws of Arkansas.

Peaceful Arkansan arrested under pretense of gun laws violations; reasons for his persecution appear to run deeper than guns

"On Wednesday, November 8, 2006, federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF ) and the FBI­assisted by Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Fayetteville Police Department, Springdale Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas State Bomb Squad and the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, raided the home of and arrested 60-year-old Hollis Wayne Fincher, who resides near Fayetteville, Arkansas, in Washington County for allegedly possessing illegal firearms. According to the ATF press release, Fincher was arrested as part of the federal gun violence prevention program, Project Safe Neighborhoods, which locals claim has ignored the growing gangs in the area," reported Loretta Weston of the American Family Voice, an independent newspaper from Russellville, Arkansas.

On Monday, Nov. 20, Fincher will be arraigned again and indicted. At this time we believe he is going to be charged with violations of Title 26­failure to pay federal taxes on a few guns. Why would the government spend thousands of dollars coordinating and performing a paramilitary, multijurisdictional raid on a notoriously peaceful and non-violent man, take him into custody, throw him in jail, ransack his home, seize his property and records and prepare indictments­when it could have just sent him a bill and provided a time and place to discuss it?"

BATF agent Wade Vittitow claims Fincher’s arrest was the result of an 8-month investigation brought about by an article about Fincher and the Arkansas Constitutional Militia published in The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas March 18, 2006. Circumstances indicate that the feds, armed with the Patriot Act and the new Military Commissions Act that legally (not lawfully) empowers them to identify, detain and punish those arbitrarily deemed "illegal enemy combatants" or "terrorists," are in league with local interests who find Fincher "inconvenient."

His county and influential people in it have been trying to pass a land-use ordinance in the remote and rural area where Fincher has 120 acres and a home that has been in the family for four generations. At public meetings called "quorum courts," Fincher has been (peaceably) obstructing passage of the ordinance.

On the day of his arrest, the quorum court convened and passed the ordinance in his absence and another man who opposed its passage was removed from the "court."

Fincher refused to accept an agreement that would have secured his release from jail pending trial­with title to his property and a series of impossible restrictions as "security."

Fincher has support in his immediate community. I feel very strongly that we are a part of his extended community and dutibound to voice our support for Fincher

Dozens of young Somali men in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area have disappeared in recent months, causing community members and U.S. intelligence officials to fear that they are joining jihadist groups in Somalia.
Officials are especially concerned that some of the men may be destined to return to the U.S. after they have received terrorist training.
The missing young men have been the focus of some attention since late October, when Shirwa Ahmed, a naturalized U.S. citizen, died in a suicide bombing in northern Somalia. Ahmed was a 1999 graduate of Minneapolis's Roosevelt High School.

The Twin Cities media have reported that a number of other young Somali men - estimates range from six to 40 - have disappeared from the area. Multiple sources within the local Somali community and U.S. government fear that these men may have returned to Somalia to train, or to participate in jihad against the country's secular transitional federal government (TFG).
The TFG has lost ground to Islamist insurgents since early 2007; its primary protection comes from Ethiopian forces that intervened in Somalia in late 2006.

"I've come across 10 to 15 mothers crying because their sons are missing," said Omar Jamal, executive director of the Minneapolis-based Somali Justice Advocacy Center.
A senior U.S. military intelligence analyst said the number may be even higher, since not all of the families whose sons have gone abroad will report it.
Jamal said the Somali community has seen young men disappear in a number of countries across the world, including Canada, the Netherlands and Australia. Multiple sources within the Somali community have corroborated this account.
Dahir Jibreel, who previously served as the TFG's permanent secretary in charge of international cooperation, said, "Other young Somalis went missing in Europe, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere." Jibreel said many of the disappearances occurred simultaneously.
The Somali men who have vanished in Minneapolis are diverse in their education level and job prospects. Some were reportedly linked to Somali gangs, while others have been described as intelligent and studious. Some attended college and appeared to have good job prospects.
There is little evidence that these men were radicalized when they entered the U.S.
Abdiweli Ali, an associate professor of economics at Niagara University and a former adviser to the TFG, said young Somalis are being targeted for indoctrination.
"There's a huge underclass," he said, "and the kids get involved in gangs and drugs. So every time a kid goes to hang out in the mosque, the parents see that as good. They encourage their kids to go to after-school programs with religion, to youth groups at the mosque."
The youths are susceptible to "brainwashing," Ali said. "They are very young, susceptible to any kind of indoctrination. All you need is one rogue imam who tells them the wrong things, and they are susceptible to that."
A senior American intelligence source confirms that Somalis have vanished in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia, adding that some people from the Caribbean also appear to have left for Somalia. And not all of the people bound for training or jihad in Somalia have a Somali background, the source said.
A man who appears to be Caucasian and is aligned with the Somalia-based terrorist group Shabaab can be seen in a recent jihadist video, and another gave an interview with al-Jazeera (though he wore a facemask when doing so). The source said that at least three African-Americans from the Minneapolis area also are suspected of traveling to Somalia to join jihadist groups.
While Somalis in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area have been puzzled by the simultaneous disappearances in multiple countries, the intelligence source says it can be explained by the reopening of certain training facilities in Somalia, such as those in Ras Kamboni. "School is open for business, so the demand has gone up," he said.
The intelligence source said there is a transportation network in place to move fighters to Somalia, including Ruben Luis Shumpert (a Seattle-area barber who was killed this year while fighting for the Shabaab) and Daniel Joseph Maldonado (a U.S. citizen who was arrested in 2007 for undergoing terrorist training). The network apparently has provided forged passports on some occasions, he said.
It is not clear is who is funding the expensive cost of traveling to Somalia. Virtually all of the Somalis who have disappeared in Minneapolis are from impoverished backgrounds.
The size of the recruiting network in the U.S. isn't known, and estimates vary widely. But a major concern is what will happen when these young men return to the U.S. after having undergone terrorist training or participated in combat.
"Ethiopia has announced that they are planning to withdraw from Somalia," said the intelligence source. "So this problem is just going to get worse."

OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper shut down Parliament on Thursday in an unprecedented attempt to keep his government in power, fending off a no-confidence vote he was all but certain to lose.

Less than two months after winning re-election, Harper successfully asked the unelected representative of the head of state for the authority to close down Parliament until Jan. 26, hoping to buy enough time to develop a stimulus package that could prop up the economy.

"Today's decision will give us an opportunity — I'm talking about all the parties — to focus on the economy and work together," Harper said after the private meeting.

Governor General Michaelle Jean, who represents Britain's Queen Elizabeth II as head of state, granted the unusual request to suspend parliament. Had she refused, Harper would have had two choices: step down or face a no-confidence vote Monday he was sure to lose.

Harper would not offer details on their conversation.

Three opposition parties united against Harper, charging he has failed to insulate Canada from the global financial crisis. The credit crisis and a global selloff of commodities have slowed Canada's resource-rich economy, and the finance minister said last week he expects a recession.

"For the first time in the history of Canada the prime minister is running away from the parliament of Canada," said Liberal leader Stephane Dion, who headed up the opposition movement against Harper.

He said the coalition would seek to oust Harper unless he makes a "monumental change" in dealing with the economy and the opposition.

Sad day for Canada
The opposition was also outraged by a government proposal to scrap public subsidies for political parties, something the opposition groups rely on more than the Conservatives. Although that proposal was withdrawn, the opposition has continued to seek Harper's ouster, saying he has lost the trust and confidence of Parliament.

Opposition New Democrat leader Jack Layton called it a sad day.

"He's trying to lock the door of Parliament so that the elected people cannot speak," Layton said. "He's trying to save his job."

Layton said the shutdown only delays Harper's inevitable defeat.
"You can run but you can't hide," said Liberal legislator Bob Rae, predicting the opposition would bring down Harper early next year over the budget.

Harper's Conservative Party was re-elected Oct. 14 with a strengthened minority government, but still must rely on the opposition to pass legislation.

The Liberals, New Democrats and Bloc Quebecois, which together control a majority of parliament's 308 seats, had signed a pact agreeing to vote this coming Monday to oust Harper and setting the structure for their proposed coalition government.

Unprecedented move
A governor general has never been asked to suspend parliament to delay an ouster vote when it was clear the government didn't have the confidence of a majority of legislators.
"There is no precedent whatsoever in Canada and probably in the Commonwealth," constitutional scholar and Queen's University political scientist Ned Franks said, referring to the organization of English-speaking nations. "We are in uncharted territory."
Nelson Wiseman, an associate professor at the University of Toronto, said he expected Harper to resign immediately had Jean turned him down.
"He's got no business asking for it," Wiseman said. "This is an obvious attempt to avoid and evade Parliament."

A perfect storm is developing for Second Amendment opponents that could allow President-elect Barack Obama's choice for attorney general – Eric Holder – to "ban guns at will" despite the 2008 affirmation from the U.S. Supreme Court that U.S. citizens have a right to bear arms.

The situation was described with alarm by Alan Korwin, author of Gun Laws of America, in a recent commentary.

He cited Holder's known support for gun bans – the former Clinton administration official endorsed the District of Columbia's complete ban on functional guns in residents' homes before it was overturned by the Supreme Court.

And Korwin pointed to overwhelming Democratic majorities in Congress as well as Obama's known support for gun restrictions and his presence in the Oval Office.

Thirdly, Korwin, one of many Second Amendment advocates raising concerns, cited a proposal already submitted to Congress at a time when its backers could not reasonably expect it to succeed.

The submission is H.R. 1022 by New York Democrat Carolyn McCarthy and 67 co-sponsors. It was introduced in February 2007 and the next month referred to the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, where it has stayed.

But that could change in the 111th Congress, sworn in today. And Korwin said the plan would allow the U.S. Attorney General – possibly Holder – to add to the list of guns banned to the public any "semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General."

"Note that … Holder … wrote a brief in the (District of Columbia) Heller case supporting the position that you have no right to have a working firearm in your own home," Korwin said.

In making this determination, the bill says, "there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any federal law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a firearm shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event."

"In plain English," Korwin said, "This means that any firearm ever obtained by federal officers or the military is not suitable for the public. That presumption can be challenged only by suing the federal government over each firearm it decides to ban, in a court it runs with a judge it pays. This virtually dismisses the principles of the Second Amendment.

"The last part is particularly clever, stating that a firearm doesn't have a sporting purpose just because it can be used for sporting purpose – is that devious or what? And of course, 'sporting purpose' is a rights infringement with no constitutional or historical support whatsoever, invented by domestic enemies of the right to keep and bear arms to further their cause of disarming the innocent," he said.

Korwin told WND a new proposal to replace H.R. 1022 is not expected to be less draconian.

"Remember – these bans were proposed when the congressional anti-rights crowd had no chance of success. Now they are ready to run wild, or according to Sarah (Brady) herself, 'I have never been so confident,'" Korwin wrote, referring to the champion of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993, which requires background checks on purchasers of handguns.

Korwin said the Democrats listed in H.R. 1022 a framework for guns to be banned that includes originals, copies or duplicates of a wide-ranging list of shotguns, pistols and rifles.

One of the red flags for semiautomatic rifles would be "anything" that can serve as a grip, and as set up now, the Democrat members of the Judiciary Committee "are all sworn enemies to the Second Amendment and are unlikely to be swayed at all by any firearms related arguments," he said.

The Republicans all "need to be pressed hard to do everything they can to block the appointment."

Further, with the expectation that Obama will appoint at least one or two Supreme Court justices, further damage could be just a vote or two away, he said.

"If he can get a 5-4 or 6-3 majority who dislike gun rights, you could find that your [Second Amendment] rights aren't what they've been for 200 years," Korwin said.

John Snyder assembled a list of prominent critics of the Holder nomination.for the Firearms Coalition.

"A former Ohio secretary of state, (Ken) Blackwell notes that, 'despite Obama's new lip service to the Second Amendment, Holder signed onto a brief earlier this year (2008) reaffirming his long-held position that the Second Amendment confers no rights whatsoever to private citizens, and that the Supreme Court should have upheld D.C.'s absolute ban on handguns, even in homes."

Snyder also cited comments from Brian Darling, director of U.S. Senate Relations at the Heritage Foundation, that Holder's position "strongly suggests that Holder is hostile to private gun ownership and will work to restrict gun rights."

Shotgun News columnist Jeff Knox wrote, "The gun rights community should make every effort to see to it that Holder's nomination is withdrawn or rejected."

According to Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan Gottlieb, Holder has supported handgun licensing and mandatory trigger locks. He also lobbied for limits on gun shows.

"This is not the record of a man who will come to office as the nation's top law enforcement officer with the rights and concerns of gun owners in mind," Gottlieb wrote.

"America's 85 million gun owners have ample reason to be pessimistic about how their civil rights will fare under the Obama administration," Gottlieb said. "Mr. Obama will have a Congress with an anti-gun Democrat majority leadership to push his gun control agenda. Gun owners have not forgotten Mr. Obama's acknowledged opposition to concealed carry rights, nor his support for a ban on handgun ownership when he was running for the Illinois state senate."

The issue of gun rights is more important than many believe, wrote Joseph Farah, WND's founder and editor, in a recent column. He cited a study from the University of Maryland and University of Michigan that uncovered a beneficial link between gun shows and crime.

"We find a sharp decline in the number of gun homicides in the weeks immediately following a gun show," the study concluded. Furthermore, in Texas they found "gun shows reduce the number of gun homicides by 16 in the average year."

"Holder’s appointment to be AG must be approved by the Senate," wrote David Codrea in the Examiner. "While it is highly unlikely that opponents could muster the 51 votes needed to reject Holder's appointment, a single senator can place a 'hold' on the confirmation and effectively lock up the system just as Democrats did with a number of President Bush's judicial appointments and the appointment of John Bolton to be Ambassador to the U.N."

The Supreme Court decided in the D.C. vs. Heller case that the Second Amendment provides an individual right to own firearms, not just the right for states to form armed militias.

The Constitution does not permit "the absolute prohibition of handguns held and used for self-defense in the home," Justice Antonin Scalia said in the majority opinion.

Justice John Paul Stevens, writing in dissent, said the majority "would have us believe that over 200 years ago, the Framers made a choice to limit the tools available to elected officials wishing to regulate civilian uses of weapons."

Scalia said the ruling should not "cast doubt on long-standing prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons or the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings."

Scalia was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Clarence Thomas. Joining Stevens in dissent were Justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter.

The amendment, ratified in 1791, says: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Is the new Obama administration taking cues from the Bush administration to get Congress to act? It certainly seemed that way to, South Carolina’s junior Republican senator, Jim DeMint.



DeMint, speaking Jan. 27 at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., explained the Obama administration will “create crisis and widespread panic” just like its predecessor in order to get Congress to act expeditiously.



“I’ve been around long enough to know whenever someone tells me I have to make a decision right now, my response is no,” DeMint said. “That clears it up right away and I think more and more the Bush administration and now this administration knows that they’re not going to get a quick reaction out of Congress unless they create crisis and widespread panic. And that’s going to be their M.O. to get Congress to act.”


Another senator, James Inhofe, R-Okla., explained the Bush administration used a similar tactic, under the direction of former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, to get the $700-billion TARP bailout bill passed by Congress back on Oct. 4, 2008.



DeMint said some Republicans now regret they voted for the TARP package, even though there is no way to gauge what might have happened had it not been passed.



“I think there’s a lot of buyer’s remorse among Republicans who voted for the bailouts of all kinds last year,” DeMint said. “And, it’s hard to prove that, some of them are saying, ‘It didn’t work out so well, but it’d been a lot worse if we hadn’t.’ It’s hard, it’s hard to argue that unless you know anything about how business works.”



“And then it’s obvious that what we did was inject a whole lot of uncertainty into the marketplace,” DeMint said. “So no, I don’t think there’s discord because of that, uh, and I really don’t blame my colleagues. If you got the President and the Secretary of the Treasury coming in saying, ‘The world economy is going to collapse next week if we don’t do something.’”



DeMint criticized the mainstream media for not conveying the message that some congressional Republicans are trying to spread about this package –that it’s filled with big-government wasteful spending projects that will do little to “stimulate” the economy.



“Well, it’s a good question and a lot of us are saying that,” DeMint said. “It’s not being picked up at all by the mainstream media and that’s why again, we’re going to have to take our message through you to the people, Rush Limbaugh, anyone who will talk about what’s really in the bill. We don’t need to make it up. It’s like they’re in a different reality. They’re talking about a bill, that when you look at it, there’s no resemblance to what they’re talking about.”



DeMint said it will take grassroots efforts to put the brakes on this stimulus package and he admitted he has seen it from constituents that are concerned about the bailout culture in Washington, D.C.



“So if we can just get the truth to the American people, or just a segment of the American people, I think you’ll, you’ll see a groundswell of anger, again because there’s, there’s a real fatigue out there on these bailouts,” DeMint continued. “I think even people who are normally not that political are coming up to me and they just sense that we’re running this country into a ditch. I’ve never seen people so anxious and so – well, I mean they grab my arm. They’re no longer single issue people. They just say, ‘Thanks for fighting. What can I do?’ I’ve heard that at least a hundred times. That’s – we just need to let people know the truth and think that they’ll get engaged.”

The department will be hosting military training in and around the city between Jan. 27 and Feb. 8.

The training includes the use of military helicopters flying after dark throughout the city.

Police say they want residents of New Orleans and outlying areas to know it's a training event. The activities, authorities say, have been carefully planned and are safe.

The day many of you thought would come finally has. Eric Holder (Attorney General), on February 25th, stated that the Obama administration would be pushing for a new and permanent assault weapons ban. I’ll let the liars/politicians state it in their own words.

"I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller," Holder said.

"I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum," Holder said. Personal comment: WTF!? Banning guns in America to stem the flow of illegal arms to Mexico? WTF???
"As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters.

National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09)


National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09) is scheduled for July 27 through July 31, 2009. NLE 09 will be the first major exercise conducted by the United States government that will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery.
NLE 09 is designated as a Tier I National Level Exercise. Tier I exercises (formerly known as the Top Officials exercise series or TOPOFF) are conducted annually in accordance with the National Exercise Program (NEP), which serves as the nation's overarching exercise program for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating national level exercises. The NEP was established to provide the U.S. government, at all levels, exercise opportunities to prepare for catastrophic crises ranging from terrorism to natural disasters.
NLE 09 is a White House directed, Congressionally- mandated exercise that includes the participation of all appropriate federal department and agency senior officials, their deputies, staff and key operational elements. In addition, broad regional participation of state, tribal, local, and private sector is anticipated. This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09.
EXERCISE FOCUS
NLE 09 will focus on intelligence and information sharing among intelligence and law enforcement communities, and between international, federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector participants.
The NLE 09 scenario will begin in the aftermath of a notional terrorist event outside of the United States, and exercise play will center on preventing subsequent efforts by the terrorists to enter the United States and carry out additional attacks. This scenario enables participating senior officials to focus on issues related to preventing terrorist events domestically and protecting U.S. critical infrastructure.
NLE 09 will allow terrorism prevention efforts to proceed to a logical end (successful or not), with no requirement for response or recovery activities.
NLE 09 will be an operations-based exercise to include: activities taking place at command posts, emergency operation centers, intelligence centers and potential field locations to include federal headquarters facilities in the Washington D.C. area, and in federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector facilities in FEMA Region VI, which includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
EXERCISE OBJECTIVES
Through a comprehensive evaluation process, the exercise will assess prevention and protection capabilities both nationally and regionally. Although NLE 09 is still in the planning stages, the exercise is currently designed to validate the following capabilities:

Exercises such as NLE 09 are an important component of national preparedness, helping to build an integrated federal, state, tribal, local and private sector capability to prevent terrorist attacks, and rapidly and effectively respond to, and recover from, any terrorist attack or major disaster that occurs.
The full-scale exercise offers agencies and jurisdictions a way to test their plans and skills in a real-time, realistic environment and to gain the in-depth knowledge that only experience can provide. Participants will exercise prevention and information sharing functions that are critical to preventing terrorist attacks. Lessons learned from the exercise will provide valuable insights to guide future planning for securing the nation against terrorist attacks, disasters, and other emergencies.
FEMA leads and supports the nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation, to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the nation from all hazards including natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other man-made disasters.

This unsettling site may well correspond with concerned reports of mass graves being prepared at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Houston National Cemetery as well as numerous other reports.
D.H. Williams reported in February on an Indiana county municipal official received detailed requests from FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security in regards to locations for mass graves, preparations for regional refugees, preparations for economic collapse and budget cuts under a GM collapse, as well as the locations of major installations, emergency assets and more.
The official, heard in the video below, says that he became concerned about the intentions of of the FEMA and DHS officials, whose scenarios apparently included a potential bird flu outbreak, alongside fires, floods and earthquakes.
While it is certainly true that cemeteries undergo routine expansions and utilize pre-made burial sites, concerns have grown over FEMA preparations for large numbers of death under various crises.

We have also received reports about questionnaires, such as this one [pdf linked] from the New York State Division of Cemeteries issued in 2007, which solicits details about the capability of individual cemeteries to deal with "mass fatality or pandemic situations."

The Pentagon has approached Congress to [color:945a=#d0d060! important][color:945a=#d0d060! important]grant the Secretary of Defense the authority to post almost 400,000 military personnel throughout the United States in times of emergency or a major disaster.

This request has already occasioned a dispute with the nation’s governors. And it raises the prospect of U.S. military personnel patrolling the streets of the United States, in conflict with the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.
