Unit Training

Post by Freedom Fighter on Wed May 20, 2009 6:30 pm

Anyone interested in forming a unit and getting together to train? Maybe a chain of command, schedule FTX once a month or so. One day events sometimes, occasionaly weekend events. Work on tactics, moving as a team, commo, camouflage and concealment, setting up FOB, base of operations, etc? I'm new here, maybe you guys already have this going on. Would like to get in on it.

If anyone is interested shoot me a pm

Ryan

Target practice (stationary, pop up and moving targets), force on force using paintball markers (going over maneuvars, ambush, counter ambush, scenarios), maybe some type of obstacle course if we could find a place to construct one, map reading and navigation, FTX and the like. We probably wouldn't be able to meet but once a month so PT should be something everyone does on their own time, but maybe once in a while have a pt test using the army's standards and scoring to make sure we're in good physical condition at every other meet or so. Use our time wisely, anything that can be done on your own should be done on your own. However I do believe group target practice is a must. We should definetly shoot together, and everyone can teach someone else something new. I'm no gun guru, I wouldn't mind being shown a few pointers. Hopefully over time we'll come to know each other and be used to working together. When the day comes to fight, we'll find each other. I can definetly rely on family to survive, but when it comes to fighting... not so much. And it's going to take plenty of people to fight. I don't believe in lone wolves.... just dead ones.

We need to find a place to shoot. I have one, but I don't think it would be suitable for multiple people and lots of rounds being fired. I have a few places I know of to practice fire and maneuver, force on force, ambush - counter ambush, etc. with paintball markers.

You're right FF. My priority at present is to learn and practice with my weapon. For me, the maneuver, ambush, etc. can wait. Besides, I don't have any paintball stuff.
If you know of a place I can practice shooting, then please let me know and I'll do the same for you.
On a similiar note, do you have any 7.62x39 rounds for sale? I have a few guns for trade if interested.

You should definetly have a firm foundation shooting wise to build upon, but fire and maneuver as well as a variety of other things is important to practice. That is unless you plan to sit in one spot and take out as many of the enemy as you can until they spot you. As for the paintball equipment, I have extras of everything and am always happy to help a fellow Patriot out. No, sorry I don't have any 7.62 for sale. In fact, I don't even hardly have an 7.62
Is it that hard to find? I haven't bought it in months, and when I do I just buy a couple boxes since I don't have the money to spend on a case. I hate to order things like that off the internet but that may be the only place left to fight affordable cases. I know Mark's Outdoors is rediculous. Also, what type of guns are we talking? I may be interested in buying.

FF and John, I think we should meet. I'm in Jefferson Co., the Hoover area. We can see where it goes from there.

We can set a date and location in the not-to-distant future.

Takers?

Anyone in the Marshall, Dekalb, Jackson, Etowah, Madison County areas? I am based on the marshall / dekalb line near albertville. I am looking for a FTF meeting over food with other like minded people who wish to train, shoot and learn from each other in support of the constitution.
