If you don't mind me asking, why build a Sten?  I've thought about building one, but they seemed to be expensive to build in semi-auto, and, being as SBRs are illegal in Alabama, the awkwardly long barrel makes it seem like it's not worth it except for maybe historical collectors, not that they would be that historical with a long barrel and in semi-auto.

Help me out here :-)

The reason for me mentioning this guy is to show that anybody can build this gun. If you can't find parts for your rifle; but you still need a rifle to protect yourself. This is the gun for you. It appeared easy to build and would allow people the opportunit to protect themselves. Sten is not the best gun in the world. It is a gun that would allow a person to stand up and fight. Not that I am advising that.

It reminds me very much of much of Philip A. Luty's latest (as far as I know) book where he instructs how one could make a sub-machinegun, mostly out of 'British Standard Pipe’ Fittings that you could, according to him, find in almost any decent plumbing outlet in the UK.

Unfortunately, Mr. Luty was arrested for the books he has published in May of this year for "making a record of information likely to be of assistance to terrorists," in accordance to the UK's version of The Patriot Act.
